Stellenbosch Showcase at WTM London 2015

  • November 11, 2015

The team from the Stellenbosch Experience campaign showcased the region's world-class wine and wine tourism offerings at WTM London this past week in partnership with Cape Town Tourism and Jordan Wine Estate.

It was an evening of fine wine, excellent food and interactive tourism experiences as Stellenbosch was showcased alongside Cape Town at WTM in London on the 3rd of November. The event was the perfect platform to showcase Cape Town Tourism's beautiful new Neighbourhood video series and put the spotlight on just why Cape Town and Stellenbosch had to be on top of travellers' 2016 travel bucket lists.

The evening was hosted at London's hottest new restaurant, the German Gymnasium, opening to the public today. It is located at 1 Kings Boulevard,  close to the new international railway station of St Pancras and was constructed in 1864-65 for the German Gymnastics Society, a sporting association established in London in 1861 by Ernst Ravenstein. The German Gymnasium was designed by Edward A Gruning and built by Piper and Wheeler.

Laminated roof timbers showing cast iron fillets and supporting brickwork. The National Olympian Association used the Gymnasium as one of the venues for its first ever Games in London in 1866, shortly after the German Gymnasium was opened.

The evening was attended by some of the top travel media, trade and bloggers attending the trade show and Jordan's exceptional wines went down a treat.
